Solo's Friday Red-Neck (Parody) Break: If You Thought $ick$wag's $tyle Was Unfortunate. . . Check This!

Since it's Friday, let's blow off a little well-earned steam -- over the lunch hour, to boot -- shall we? Enter, Joe Denim!

I offer this just to show you that "remixes" and "parodies" will often appear as equal opportunity offenders. I'll mention now that this (Joe Denim; $ick$wag) is what happens when one (Solo Cup) loses control of an "unauthorized" would-be promotion of one's brands. The below was made with Mr. Keith's blessing, apparently -- and, it. . . [wait for it!. . .] converts "Red Solo Cup" into "Two Girls, One Cup"(!).

If you do not know the origin of the "Two Girls, One Cup" meme (or TGOC, for short) on the internet, do trust me -- you. do. not. want. to. know. [Seeing the original video regularly causes first time viewers to vomit in disgust.]

My recommentdation? Only if you are morbidly curious, just go to YouTube, and watch any of the hundreds of "TGOC" reaction videos, where viewers are recorded simply watching the original video. The captured reactions will be enough to convince you that there are some pyschological traumas/scar-tissue you'd rather not accrue. But I digress. Where was I? Right -- a comedian has remade "Red Solo Cup" into an anthem for "Two Girls, One Cup". Sad -- and yet perversely hilarious (it is however entirely work-safe -- fear not the arrival of the HR brute squad; it is PG-13 at the worst moment):



So -- again -- I doubt the Lake Forest denizens would say that this video sums the company up perfectly, either. What were they thinking, anyway? They could have asked Mr. Keith to simply make his song about a generic "red plastic cup". Indeed.
