It would appear that there have been no reported fires -- at ANY of Solo's dozen or so other facilities, in the last fifteen years or so.
Then -- not one, but TWO fires -- at a SINGLE Solo Cup facility, and all in under two and a half years:
. . .No one was hurt when a fire started late Sunday at a Solo Cup Company factory on the city’s Far Southwest Side. The blaze started about 11 p.m. inside a hopper at the Solo Cup facility, 7500 block of South Kostner Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs. . . .
And later reports indicated that the fire-fighters did have to hose down the area, to put this latest bin-fire out.
Hmmm.
If I were Solo's fire and casualty carrier, I'd take a very close look at both files. I'm just sayin'. . .
