A new crew using the name "$ick$wag Entertainment" has just released a hip-hop "remix" of the Toby Kieth company anthem-come-lately. These lyrics likely won't please the executive officers in Lake Forest -- as the remix seems to clearly promote drinking liquor and driving on the highway, at "'bout 90 miles an hour" -- at about 3:30 into the video. Ouch.
I'll wonder aloud whether CEO Korzenski will say that this remix sums the company up perfectly, as well:
. . . .red cup double up, 'bout to get it in. . . 'til it all hangin' from my eyelid. . . can't hear the sirens, on the highway, doin' 'bout 90. . . .
Proceed. To. PR. Nightmare.
Beware the emerging chaos in the free artists' markets, Solo. "Unauthorized" brand promotions are a two edged sword, it seems.
